With a brilliant performance from rookie 22 year old pitcher Michael Wacha the Cardinals advance to the World Series.  Michael won  NLCS MVP honors and in the closeout game gave up two hits in seven innings.   I give the Cardinals credit, I had them losing this series and you have to tip your hat off to them.  Their pitching has been solid and Carlos Beltran is becoming Mr. Clutch himself.  The Cardinals were facing Kershaw who is far from a scrub but no one saw him giving up so many runs.  He was forced to leave the game giving up seven runs on ten hits by the fifth inning.  And from there you could tell the Dodgers had already submitted to defeat. After 9 innings the Cardinals shut out the dodgers winning 9-0.  The Cardinals will await the winner of the Detroit and Boston series where the Sox are up 3-2 and playing tonight in Fenway Park.  The Tigers like the Dodgers will have their ace Scherzer (2-0, 2.25 ERA) on the mound, in an elimination game.  This postseason has been great and it will be an greater World Series. So congratulations to the Cardinals for advancing, it looks like they haven’t missed a step with the loss of Albert after all.
